Out of pure curiosity I was on gunbroker.com and was browsing the Class 3 weapons. I think I've fallen for the Kriss Super V Vector

For those of you in the know how hard is it to obtain a Federal Firearms License compared to a CHL? I Know there is a one time tax of $200 for purchase. Are the any major pitfalls i should know about?

Paying the $200 tax stamp/ATF registration is different from becoming a FFL dealer, or even a class III dealer.

There are others that will follow with much better info than I can muster on this topic. I learned from them.

What type of FFL do you want to get? Type 3 is easier than a Type 1 or Type 7, for example.

Also, you don't need any FFL to own NFA firearms.

There's a pretty shocking range of license cost when it comes to an FFL... from $30 for three years for a Type 03 (C&R), to $3,000 for those handling "destructive devices".
