Looking for pocket carry semi-auto

Any recommendations out there for a good pocket carry semi-auto?

I almost bought a LCP at Academy yesterday but they didn't have any .380 to go with it. Any one out there have a Kahr PM9 or PM40? Is it small enough to pocket carry?

I've shot a PM9 before, my cousin bought one for his wife, but it has been a while and I can't remember if it was small enough for pocket carry...

I guess you can pocket a PX4 Subcompact, try it.

Would depend on your body style, pants and the pocket.

The PM9 carries just fine in the front pocket of Dockers. I use Kahr's pocket carry holster, BTW.

A PM40 disappears nicely in the pocket of a pair of cargo pants or cargo shorts when carried in a Fist K5 pocket holster.

I just sold my PM9. Bought it for front pocket carry, but I guess my jeans (especially) and pants pockets must be too small. Oh, it fit, but bulged, was uncomfortable driving, and was IMHO a heavy pocket gun (20 oz. loaded). Of course if your a larger guy, with larger pockets, it's all relative. I replaced it with a lighter, smaller .380 (12 oz. loaded) and the difference is dramatic. I'm a big believer in the old adage, "it's better to carry something you are comfortable carrying, than something your not and will leave at home." Other than that, it's a fine pistol that went bang every time.

Pocket carried a Kahr PM40 for two years. Worst handgun I ever owned. Back to factory for fixes. Never did trust it after that. My problems started well AFTER the recommended 400-round break-in period (not a cheap break in either - $120 worth of FMJ + $$ JHP). But I know plenty of people love their Kahrs, so I digress ....

If you're going to pocket carry something larger than an LCP-size pocket gun, look seriously at a snub-nose revolver. Much more reliable than a 9mm or .40 pocket auto (IMHO), good ballistics with .38 +P loads, only one or two fewer rounds in gun. Look closely at S&W J-frame, Ruger LCR, Taurus 85 etc. My J-frame is my no-fuss pocket gun all summer long - 5 rounds in gun, 12 more on speed strips in a belt-clip pouch.

Or just get the LCP ... everyone else has one ;-)

Including the governor :)

If you want a recommendation for a great pair of concealed carry pants I can recommend the 5-11's I wear them alot, I can pocket carry a Bersa without any issues and have even pocket carried the G30 in there. Pleanty of hidden pockets for spare mags too.

Get the LCP and order some ammo...our Academy got 12 box's on Hornady Critical Defense in and i just happen to snag some this time.
They had 7 box's after i got my 1 from them.I bought my LCP there several months ago.I carry mine in a Mini Tuck.

Have P238 Sig and a LCP also tried all the other options out there. Hands down the LCP is the lightest. The Sig is the easiest to shoot as its single action only. The sig is a minature 1911 basically. I love that. The LCP has a long trigger pull but again its 9 oz and havent found a thinner gun yet. For pocket carry you really cant beat the LCP. Its also very cheap. I paid 265.00 for mine.
