SOLD

Smith & Wesson Model 64 stainless .38 Special 4-inch barrel revolver no lock with Pachmayr grips and a trigger job.

I used this revolver for my CHL instructor qualification. But don't really need it anymore (next time, I'll likely just use my J-frame). It's a great gun in great shape. Previous owner said it was a safe queen and had some professional trigger work done (definitely is smoother than a standard S&W trigger). Lockup is tight, finish is in good shape (not perfect, but good used shape). Very clean. Obviously well-maintained.

Anyway, it's just gonna end up sitting in my safe too. So would rather sell it and put money toward something else.

Will throw in some +P hollow points (about 25 left in the box I think).

Asking $375 if I have to travel a bit to sell it, but I'll take $350 cash FTF in Austin area.

JG Sales internet site sells DAO model 64s (hammer spur removed) that are old police trade ins for about $275 + shipping + FFL fees. I've seen one of these guns and they're not nearly as nice a shape as this revolver.

Anyway, I'm also open to trade offers straight, up, or down (can give or take cash). Not really looking for other revolvers but will always consider a snubby.
I have the itch to try an AK-47 if someone has an inexpensive model they'd like to trade. Also possibly a Mini 14 if it's .223/5.56 version. An AR lower. Pistols I"m open to trying just about anything that's not a complete piece of junk.

PM me with offers.

Thanks

bump for a really nice clean looking gun, just blew this months (and next) gun budget on a 686 SSR.

I have an older Mod 64 with the pinned pencil barrel and original wood grips. I just love it to pieces. Mine is a surprisingly good shooter.

This particular older S&W came with several different barrel lengths including a snubbie and has quite a cult following on the S&W forum. It's the kind of gun that James Cagney, Edward G. Robinson and the real Dick Tracey might have carried. :patriot:

Sick!!! That is an insanely beautiful wheel gun.

I agree about the J&G sales models...this one is much nicer.
