UT police say an active shooting situation is taking place on campus. Officials believe they have the suspect contained. No other details are available.

According to the Spacemen, the suspect was self-containing, 6th floor of the PCL.

But how could this have happened, that is in the middle of a gun free zone??????????

Reports say the gunman just killed himself.

the coward has just shot himself with his AK.

So far there's no reports of any other injuries or fatalities other than the gunman himself. I hope it stays that way.

The university is open.

A suspected shooter in PCL library is dead.
Police are searching for possible second shooter.
Lock doors, do not leave your building.

I know how angered we are right now because some many were hurt in a "safe" "gun free zone.'

Lets please all say a prayer for those affected.

Watching foxnews....... Campus representative being interviewed said he had an "automatic weapon"..... Probably not but we will see.

A tweeter on campus, at UT Law on the north side, says he had an AK47 (who knows).

They are also looking for a second suspect.

I work in the tower, campus siren system just confirmed multiple shooters, bolt doors and windows....

Sure wish i had the 1911 on my hip....

Friend of mine just tweeted he's locked down in PCL's 5th floor. Shooter killed himself on 6th floor. Second gunman still on the loose.
