So assuming employer parking lot and campus carry are passed in the 2011 legislative session. What kind of time frame would we be looking at until it went into effect. I understand there very well may be no exact answer for this question. But as I have little to know clue, I figured I would ask so anyone could chime in with their opinions. Even better if anyone knows about time frames of previous gun laws.

My guess would be September 1st of this year.

That's when changes typically take effect.

With campus carry it depends on which bill passes:

HB 86 effective date: Sept. 1, 2011
HB 750 effective date: Sept. 1, 2011
SB 354 effective date: Sept. 1, 2012

With that information I have been able to find the sources, thanks guys consider me "learned" :)

Correct, but the bill includes a provision that states it's provisions don't apply to events prior to Sept. 1, 2012.
