Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I'm an Alabama transplant to Texas and loving it here. Been around for almost 10 years now.

Recently took the CHL class and submitted my paperwork. Paperwork was received on the 7th of January in Austin, and this past Tuesday the update said it was mailed already. Haven't seen it in the mail yet though! That seems pretty quick though! My daily carry will be a Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II holstered in a Crossbreed Supertuck.

You have no idea how happy I have been with finding this forum. I really wasn't happy at all with the class I took. We were basically only taught how to pass the test, and how to fill out the paperwork. Maybe I was expecting something more to it. I even thought about taking the class again with someone else just to make sure I felt comfortable with carrying. There were no situational discussions, no videos, no instruction on carry, etc. Since finding this forum I've been lurking, reading as much as possible almost daily. There is so much more here that was never even touched on in class. So, I say THANK YOU!!!!

Oh, and be mindful of the forum rules. I've broken them a few times by accident (acronyms for naughty expressions, etc.), got taken to the woodshed for it. You'd think I'd learn after the first time.
