Hello all,

Here's an interesting little article. Of particular interest is the last line.

I know it's law, but it's just good to hear them acknowledge it.

Stay safe...

"Weapons are only permitted on Metro buses if an individual has a concealed weapon permit," Metro spokeswoman Raequel Roberts said.
I wonder how one goes about getting a CWP in Texas?

Passengers noticed that Shanita Mitchell, 25, had a gun around 4 p.m. and alerted authorities, who surrounded the bus with their weapons drawn, authorities said. Passengers exited the bus and Mitchell and a male companion were taken into custody without incident. The man later was released.
I find it a little disturbing that an exposure was greeted with such a show of force. I suppose there is more to this story than is reported.

I don't think it applies to Amtrak. It might be their policy, or might be law, not sure which.
