My background check went green on friday, and I was wondering how long that wait has usually been for everyone after you are at manufacturing pending, granted you were not one of the people that had their license lost in the fire.

It took my background check less than 30 days to go green. I have an uncommon name and nothing on my record. My girlfriend, who submitted her packed on the same day, is about to hit 90 days with no changes. While we both have clean records, I am sure hers is taking longer since she was born in Ukraine. She has been a citizen for a few years now though. She did change her name when she was 18. That may be part of the problem. The DPS has not given us any specifics though.

My background check had already gone through, I was wondering how long the manufacturing to mail process took, I live 30 miles from austin so I should get anything mailed the following day :)

and I went from manufacturing pending to manufacturing today

i was just looking at some of the february guys signatures. most of them that include the man. pending, to man. to mailed, seems to be a one to two day turn around. like mine turn BG complete - man. pending yesterday(4-5), today it says manufacturing, if all i've seen holds true then it should be changed to mailed by tomorrow or friday. but we'll see.

I was Pending Man on a Thursday.
Went to Man on Friday.
And was Mailed the following Tuesday.
Had it that Friday.

I think your mileage will vary greatly on this from person to person.
Keep in mind the update site is not "Real-Time". For example mine went from Man to Mailed between midnight and 5 am.
I don't think they have folks there processing apps during those hours.

You are close, but no one on god’s earth can give you an exact turn around from this point.
No more than a week I would say, could be longer, could be shorter.

I'm assuming thats when everyone's is updated, mine said mailed this morning, we will see when it actually hits the mail, because anything mailed to or from Austin and myself usually arrives the next day.

when mine said mailed (in April 2010) it took 5 days to arrive to Houston, normally 1 - 2 days

ouch, must take them a couple days to actually get the mail bin from the office to the post office
