Thought this was interesting. Caution, a couple cuss words (mild ones though).

The comments are the usual gang of trolls pointing out that there are exceptions to everything in the article but generally it is correct. It certainly is a perfect description of the insanity that the anti's believe. They love to come up with all sorts of fantastical scenarios and assumptions and then pass it off as reality.

I thought it was pretty good and funny. I loves the last line "Everything we know is wrong. If those of us raised on action movies have to fend off a Red Dawn-style invasion, it's going to be a total disaster.

good list, but they missed two obvious Glock fallacies:

1. Every time a macho tough guy cocks the hammer on his Glock before spouting some pithy tough guy one-liner

2. The mysterious and elusive "porcelain Glock 7" that "costs more than you make in a month" and can easily bypass airport metal detectors.

I do think Hollywood's bullspit about guns is a big reason the ignorant masses are scared of guns in general and will listen to antis' lies about them.

One commenter insisted that the action of pulling back the hammer is called "caulking" a gun, not "cocking" a gun. I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

Don't take it so seriously. Cracked is an imitation Mad magazine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cracked_%28magazine%29" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I still believe that you can shoot an enemy from 500 yards away with a pistol. Trust me, I've done it multiple times with impeccable accuracy. Don't hate on me. I'm just that good. :cool:

James bond dropped dozens with one shot from his trusty ppk in. 380. Anyone who discounts that round knows nothing.

Probably getting off topic but i cant rad the Cracked list at work, anyway two things i love about guns in movies are

1. No recoil. I mean at least ACT like they have recoil.

2. I am holding someone at pump shotgun point , talking blah blah blah i am going to shoot you blah blah then.. "Chack chack" (pump shotgun is cycled) Wait.. you mean this whole time you didnt have one in the chamber? I had time to pull my gun and shoot you? Dang.. :lol:

I saw a sniper with a rifle shoot at Kojak from about 150 yards away and miss, Kojak just wheeled around with his snub nose and nailed him, so it has to be possible.

I love the fact that they illustrate the silencer myth with a silencer on a revolver!

One of my favorite movie mistakes.

Not to pick nits, but Bond's PPK was a .32, not a .380.
Imagine how deadly he'd have been with a major caliber like .380!

And yes, I am a geek.
