Has anyone used "DRT" Ammo?

Any feed issues?

Is this a good defense round?

I know nothing about it and don't quite understand it based on the claims on the box.

Claims on the box withstanding - - - I wouldn't carry ammo called "DRT" in cop speak it means "Dead Right There". It might put you in a less than favorable light in a shooting situation. Maybe not in Texas but, if you were visiting some of the more liberal States that we have reciprocity with?

Oh yes, claims on the box are ADVERTISING!

Heaven forbid I would ever has to shoot, and I would hope it would never be a situation which need a jury, but I see your point.

When the ammo first came out a few years ago I read some independent tests of it. The testers were underwhelmed by it's performance. Lousy penetration and very little retained weight were the two things I remember most. Stick with a known brand.

Don't care what it is, I personally won't be using frangible ammo for self-defense - period.
same here. Quality JHP only.

sounds like the RBCD ammo.

I saw some at a gun show, and watching their infommercial really is persuasive, but I just ain't sure.
that stuff is supposed to be able to penetrate just about anything, and is chemically formulated to fragment upon hitting soft tissue.
that's a nice claim and all, providing you could get through the sternum/ribcage, and then shred the inside, but I stand moderately unconvinced.

ah, well. YMMV
