That calls for some one to be strummed on, thoroughly.surprise_i'm_armed wrote:During the Vietnam War, many war dogs were used, but met sad deaths since they were not allowed to

A more enlightened outlook on these canine defenders has now become more prevalent, and some Iraq/Afghan
war dog vets are allowed to come back to the states. Although I believe that a lot of expense still is incurred by
those who want to do so.
There was a sad case recently in <Arizona?> involving a brave war dog who had saved US lives during a suicide bomber
event. The dog was brought to a veternarian for either a minor illness, or to be boarded. Some dummy at the vet
hospital euthanized the dog by mistake. Sad, sad, sad.

She thinks that way too......AndyC wrote:Excaliber, that's one gorgeous dog who owns you :)

I think that is the coolest thing, I didn't know they used dogs in combat but now that I think about it makes since.AndyC wrote:http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2 ... g?page=0,0
Some very, very good pictures of dogs in action overseas in the war on terror
