To me, it's Army Corps of Engineers land, which includes George Bush and Bear Creek Parks in the Houston area.

They restrict your rights, simply because they can. There is no coherent argument that can be made to justify the restriction. They just do it because they can do it. Bloated and officious governments are never comfortable with armed citizens.rp_photo wrote:To me, it's Army Corps of Engineers land, which includes George Bush and Bear Creek Parks in the Houston area.

I stopped going to Benbrook lake because of this.rp_photo wrote:To me, it's Army Corps of Engineers land, which includes George Bush and Bear Creek Parks in the Houston area.
I don't go down to Grapevine like because of this either. A lot of the people who go there are perfectly well behaved, but I've seen my share of questionable characters there too. So I don't go there anymore since I can't carry my gun there.sookandy wrote:I stopped going to Benbrook lake because of this.rp_photo wrote:To me, it's Army Corps of Engineers land, which includes George Bush and Bear Creek Parks in the Houston area.
Grapevine Lake too?! Uh oh. Does this mean I cannot carry while riding my bike on the trails around the lake? The Annoyed Man wrote:I don't go down to Grapevine like because of this either. I'm going to have to check on this. The last time I rode there we left from my brother's place. He's so close we just rode our bikes in some back way. I don't remember seeing any signs. I've been going to that lake and riding the trails off and on for over 20 years.DONT TREAD ON ME wrote:If the trails are on ACOE property you can't.C-dub wrote:Grapevine Lake too?! Uh oh. They say concealed means concealed but I wouldn't suggest it carrying there if they are. That's me just me though YMMV.C-dub wrote:I'm going to have to check on this.
