Does anyone have any experience with the Southlake Octoberfest? I want to enter my dog in the races but will not go if CHL problems.

Are these professional weiner dog races? PDRA? If so CHL is a no-no!wheelgun1958 wrote:Does anyone have any experience with the Southlake Octoberfest? I want to enter my dog in the races but will not go if CHL problems.
Yes we do!Crossfire wrote:No problem with CHL. Just parking, and crowds.
Good luck with your dog. We entered once. Our dog embarassed us. We can never go back. You don't want to know.
Really? Can I borrow your magic time machine when you are done with it? Cause the event doesn't start until Sept 30.shh83 wrote:went today with the wife...I did not see any postings (30.06 0r 51's)...
did not make a point to look, just didn't notice

Might be referring to Addison Oktoberfest, that was this past weekend. I went, it was fun!Crossfire wrote:Really? Can I borrow your magic time machine when you are done with it? Was a paternity suit involved?Crossfire wrote:No problem with CHL. Just parking, and crowds.

Have you ever been to a weiner dog race? Cause if you haven't, the entertainment value alone is worth the price of admission. That is, until you get to the level where there are actual "trained" racing dogs. Although, I am not sure how you train a weiner dog. Their little tiny brains aren't capable of much more than "breathe, eat, poop, pet me, pet me, pet me".sjfcontrol wrote:Was a paternity suit involved?Crossfire wrote:No problem with CHL. So, anyway, it is not so much a race as it is an exercise in futility to just get your dog to stop sniffing the other dogs and eventually find it's way to the finish line.

We inherited her from my husband's grandmother when she passed in 2003. She's some watch dog. She only barks AFTER somebody knocks on the door.Crossfire wrote:No problem with CHL.
