You can have your carry gun, your new gun, and fifty more in the car if they are concealed. Not a thing to worry about.

I will just save the stress of Longtooth's typing fingers and suggest a Glock 17......everyone should have at least one or two.

I don't know your price range, but if it climbs to $1K, you might want to check out a Springfield EMP like Stex bought. It's the smallest 1911 style pistol in production. And darnit, someday I want one.

See, LT? I've been paying attention! But don't read any further.

Alternately, at a lower price, you might consider a Glock 26 or 27. I own the 27, a .40, and with such a tiny frame running +P ammo through it makes it pretty snappy: two or three rounds and I have to re-check my grip. The 26 would be more comfortable to shoot, although the frame is exactly the same size (I opted for the larger caliber). The 26 weighs less than 20 ounces unloaded, is 6.29 inches long, 4.17 tall, and 1.18 wide with a 3.46 inch barrel...so it also qualifies if you want to shoot an IDPA Back-Up Gun match with it. And it's a widely available model; will probably be at the gun show.

Inexpensive magazine extensions are available from Pearce and others to give you more to hold onto on these pistols. I bought two of 'em but never put them on, deciding that I bought the gun for it's size, and adding a grip extension would sorta defeat the purpose and make it less concealable. The 27 is my BUG, for now.

Greetings--

I carry a G26 with a pierce +0 extension. I tried it with and without the mag extentions and didnt see a noticeable difference with regards to concealability.

I *do* however notice a difference in handling. I much prefer the extension.

Here's another vote for the G26. The G27 is nice too but since you already have a 9mm it only makes sense to get another one (then you only have to buy one caliber of ammo).
