Gold/jewelry store robberies response: Armed guards.

Due to the record high prices of gold, there are many armed robberies of gold and jewelry retail stores.
In response, the store owners have taken to hiring armed security officers.
One of the guards profiled is a former Ecuadorean military man, nicknamed Rambo. He has a bulletproof vest,
a Beretta pistol (model unspecified), and extra mags.
Another guard profiled in the story carries a .357 magnum (brand/model unspecified).
So - the next time you go to the jewelers to get your watch battery replaced, make sure you are packing! :-)

Lady at church told me Wal-Mart replaces them for just the cost of the battery .... I wish they had CHL Tiaras, they'd be priced right

Jareds actually told me that they "prohibit all guns" so they should be fine. Bad guys aren't allowed to bring their guns inside the store.
