I have been eyeing that pistol ever since I got my FiveseveN. It looks like a winner to me. Thanks for the write up.

Indeed, thanks for the write up. That gun looks more and more solid the longer I look at it. Modern polymer gun and some serious mag capacity for putting on some hurtin'

= Love.

Cant lie, i got a polymer 1911 hicap and a EAA hicap witness 45. Just not good carry pieces for me though.

The one AndyC posted, or the tactical variant?

I've been eyeing the tactical variant for a fun gun(as if they all aren't). Glad to hear the feedback on it since I have yet to have a chance to shoot one.
All my guns with safeties can't be racked while in safe. Just to show my ignorance and want to learn.... What is the concern to be aware of when in cocked and locked mode as it relates to being able to rack the slide still?

No concern i know of. There are companies selling 1911s that have the slide bevel to allow racking on safe.

Thanks for the post AndyC. Ive never really looked into the FNP much but I am now. How does this compare to the XDM .45 for anybody that has been fortunate enough to get their hands on both?

Concern would be holstering and having the slide come out of battery I believe.
I've been eyeing these, how's the trigger? SA

Is that a frequent problem on pistols without thumb safeties?
