Hollow Points, the new "cop killer" bullets?

So what are the “cop killer” bullets now? According to the Brady Campaign, it is any hollowpoint bullet on the market.

Not quite sure what to make of this article since the following statement is apparently false:

On a side note, Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy’s website (which you can see for yourself here) erroneously describes hollowpoints, quoting her saying “these bullets explode on impact and can penetrate most bullet-proof vests” and “You can’t even hunt with them, the animal would be ripped to pieces after one shot.” Neither of these statements is accurate.

McCarthy's website doesn't mention hollow points, but it is still a pretty wacky statement, and I've no idea what it's really talking about, since explosive rounds are already illegal:

McCarthy's first amendment would have banned all armor-piercing ammunition or "cop-killer" bullets. Many of these bullets explode on impact and can penetrate most bullet-proof vests.

"These bullets have no practical purpose whatsoever," said McCarthy. "You can't even hunt with them, the animal would be ripped to pieces after one shot."

Well, those DO explode on impact when used on zombies. I've seen the video.

1)McCarthy's first amendment would have banned all armor-piercing ammunition or "cop-killer" bullets. Many of these bullets explode on impact and can penetrate most bullet-proof vests.

2) "These bullets have no practical purpose whatsoever," said McCarthy. "You can't even hunt with them, the animal would be ripped to pieces after one shot."
armor-piercing and hollar-points are 2 different animals "rlol"

1) a magic design that could do both would be something I'd like to see, must be packed with C4 and Teflon shrapnel coated in bear grease with some super slippery Industrial Strength WD-40 embedded on a molecular level  in that hollow part. :smilelol5:

2) Not if the animals wore bullet proof vests, perhaps a tax could be collected to purchase ... but back to that original statement "ripped to pieces after one shot." Gotta wonder how many shots she takes into a dead animal ...

I don't know whether to be amused at ignorance or just annoyed. Though I'm generally against "more laws", I think they should pass a regulation that legislators should research prior to opening any oral cavity which make a nonsense noise.

Heat seeking bullets that cook the deer too ...

If they did that, people would be taking their TV in for service because it would be dead quiet on CSPAN, no matter how much they turned up the volume.

(That joke would almost be funny, except we know nobody watches CSPAN :smilelol5: )

Dunno, I'm figuring how to get deer to wear something hot so the heat seeking part works, and wondering if the bullets that cook the deer come in hickory smoke flavor ...
Hopefully they'll have a Teflon non-stick coating ... Winchester should offer free oven mitts too with each ammo box ... in case the deer is still hot when putting the tag on

I wouldn't be able to sit in that room with her talking without laughing uncontrollably and saying "you sound like an idiot" loud enough that I'd be escorted out.... not planned, just a reflex to stuff like that. I mean I've seen the video, but I still can't "not laugh" when watching it.

Hey, them there clay skeet birds .... perhaps if we warmed them first and flung "hot plates" ... those heat seeking bullets would improve my scores if'n they made them big shootgun shells with that feature. Maybe they don't because that poor skeet bird would go all to pieces "after the first shot" "rlol" :smilelol5: :evil2: :banghead:

No...you would hope someone would actually know what you are saying in order to believe it...she doesn't know the difference between an incendiary round and a heat seeking missile...and yet, somehow she was elected and passing laws for the rest of us.

Why do we assume that a person becomes an expert on everything just because they where elected.
