Just got my plastic today in the mail
Strapped on my Springfield XD 9mm sub-compact, went out to Chilis for dinner with the wife and kid, and then to Target for a little grocery shopping. Great first experience...didn't realize how paranoid I'd be about looking for signage though

After a while you get to the point you instinctively know where to look. I's all good.

Congrats.

Congrats on the plastic. I've been a chl holder for just over a year and after open carryingor concealed carrying on the job for the last 4 (armed security/personal protection) I have found myself just glancing around not necessarily looking for signs but being more aware of my surroundings. Avenues of retreat/ cover/ concealment should the a problem arises no matter where I am at any given time.(not necessarily in that order) The most frequent signs that I personally are the "unlicensed possession" ones.

Congrats
On another note I can't read the phrase "Target Trot" and not get the wrong idea...
On a serious note...make sure you have a plan on how to deal with your carry pistol if you do suddenly have an attack of the "Target Trots"...

What is it about going into one of these stores and suddenly feeling your bowels engage into overdrive?
