Verrrry interesting! I never thought of it that way. I have gotten to the point in my life that I just take the whole magazine/clip thing with a grain of salt and trudge on. He didn't shoot anyone. According to the story in the initial post, Mr. Trammell "was arrested Wednesday when he returned to his downtown workplace carrying a loaded handgun and extra ammunition in his shorts." Depends on the context. Sure, if someone on this forum asks about clips for their 1911, then of course we know they mean magazines, and only a few will offer a "correction." But in another universe I live in, when I'm not on this forum, in the M1 Carbine world for example, if someone asks where to get clips for their carbine, they're most certainly not going to get info on magazines. If they come back and say they meant magazines, then they will be corrected.
