Stick with the wood foregrip. Looks great. That's the way it should look IMO.

interesting!! So what is the ballpark cost for someone to build one of these right now starting from zero parts?AndyC wrote:Well, the AK kit costs whatever it costs you; I got this one a few years ago for around $90.
Parts:
The receiver is $110 shipped + FFL fee of $15 or so, so let's say $125.
A set of receiver rivets - $10
Ace stock - $65
Stormwerkz folding stock mechanism - $55
An AK needs six US-made 922r compliance-parts:
The receiver and stock would count as two so far.
I'll get US-made a pistol-grip ($20) for a third part.
The last 3 compliance parts would likely be the trigger mechanism (around $32), and throw in a muzzle device of some kind.
That ace stock is what I have on my Saiga conversion. I really like it. Easy to get a good cheekweld with, and I think its very comfortable.speedsix wrote:...the pad on the folding stock looks good...any more uncomfortable to shoot that one than the wooden stock? Looks like a much better way to carry in car/truck than full length...is the Yugo one of the better brands???
Same type of stock on the IMI Galil and semi-auto clones...locks open solid.74novaman wrote:That ace stock is what I have on my Saiga conversion. I really like it. That's a receiver? It's just a piece of stamped steel!AndyC wrote:Receiver's in:
