Range insurance

Where is the best place for get insurance for my range and how much will it cost me?

NRA endorsed insurance through
Lockton Affinity. That's who our club uses but I can't give a cost estimate because it depends on a lot of factors.

Question, are you talking about liability insurance for when you are instructing on someone ELSE'S range? Or are you talking about your own personal range and obtaining insurance to cover it?
Either way, I say NRA, but if the former, there may be alternatives that other instructors know about.

I just sent off my information for the NRA insurance. It seems that for 300 a year I am completly covered!

So the Instructor insurance covers the half million the the state requires for a range.

is that for public ranges or private ranges or both? it's unclear to me from the health & safety code which they're talking about. my assumption is they are referring to public ranges, or rather ranges that are open to the public. I get the impression the OP's range is a privately owned range that he uses for classes and is not open to the public (just a guess though). if that's the case, it doesn't seem like the state can really say anything.

Thats how I read it. I am using a private range just for my class.

The Lockton policy for instructors is a personal policy it's to protect you. If you are running a range then you need their range coverage. My gun club's coverage is several thousand a year I'm on the board of directors and we just renewed but, I can't remember the premium. The NRA coverage is the best deal for range or instructor insurance.
