This gentleman posts on a car forum that I'm a member of. He just wrote this piece about gun ownership and 2nd amendment. It's lengthy, but a lot of thought has gone into it. There is some good mental ammo available in it. Good read. Said he may be doing some updates as this is just hot off the keyboard.
Linked here with his permission.

While the author is no longer an active LEO, I suspect that if he were still in active duty, he won't be following Mayor Bloomy's strike recommendation.
I've often wondered what the percentages of LEOs is relative to RKBA. What percentage of current LEOs share the author's view?

I am proud to live in a small community where our County Sheriff is also the local concealed handgun instructor and furnishes our local paper with an article every week that includes carry suggestions as well as ammo suggestions and other items.

Great to hear it from the Horse's Mouth.
I hope someone sent it to Bill O'Reilly!

Sensible people aren't allowed to run for Governor. We put that in our constitution during the reformation
