So my friend and I decided to take the chl class back in dec 06 and both of us sent are apps in around the same time (2 days apart).
fast forward to last weekend my friend gets his license in the mail
I get a letter saying my passport photos were rejected because of the
color of the background (brown).
So my friend brings his shiny new chl card to show and to my dismay
the background color is the same color as my rejected one.
So he has CHL and my 60 days started all over again.
how can one photo be approved and one rejected taken in front of the same wall must be magic.

Welcome aboard 43ss109. I had the same thing to say about mine only a little different.
My finger prints were rejected. I was printed by a veteran LEO that has done it for enough yrs to be ready to retire.
When I got my plastic the photo was awful. (this is not the bad picture on my DL complaint) I had an off white shirt on & the backwall was white. I have a smoke grey full beard & it is nearly impossible to tell where my face starts. There is no shoulder outline at all. If they had rejected my picture I would have understood.
They did not return my prints w/ the letter of rejection. Britt said when they do that they are buying time. If they are really bad they will return them & show the smears. I guess they never really looked at the photo.
Boy am I glad.

I have never seen a print card returned. Just the letter.

I don't believe that DPS does anything to buy time. They are simply understaffed and overworked. Stupid mistakes and inconsistencies are bound to happen.
