Gen 4 Glock 19

I recently bought a Glock 19 (Gen 4, cause that mag release button is made of awesome). I had some trepidation as to it's functionality, and I figured, what better way to try out a brand spankin' new gun, than to take it to my weekly IDPA match! Here's the results:
(please note, I do not profess to be Dave Sevigny, here)

And here are a couple vids from the following week, where again I used the same Glock 19.

I have since replaced the horrid Glock sights with 3-dot Tritium Night Sights, and the entire trigger guts with the GlockWorx SSP Trigger setup. Probably not necessary for most folks, but it's what I like and what I now carry. Again, I don't claim to be related to the Leatham's, just my experience with the new Gen 4, Glock 19.

IDPA? I had already thought this was some kind of shooting comp. but not this dynamic! That looks like so much fun!

Yessir, good ol' Hide'n Shoot. I go to a league, Tuesday Night Pistol League, where we get a few stages every week. As much fun as you can have with a cover garment.

How many rounds do you have through it? On the majority of the late Gen 3s and the Gen 4s the problems don't really start to show up until after 1,000 rounds.

I certainly don't have a case through it yet. I'd say I have around a 100 or so rounds through it. It does have the "new and improved" recoil spring assembly, which was told to me to fix the previous issues.

The recoil spring hasn't been the issue lately. There has been something going on with the extractors and possibly the ejector. Some people have taken the internals of working glocks and the new one still won't work. People have noticed that the extrator doesn't hold the case against the breech face as tightly as it should. There is also speculation that the slides might be out of spec. A lot of issues have been weak ejection and brass to the face.

I had brass to the face and some stovepipes in the first 200 of mine. I replaced the ejector and I get less brass to the face and no stovepipes as of current...

my understanding is the newest ones have the updated extractor which solved the issues.
I keep thinking of late about swapping my 26 out for a 19

not necessarily, new extractor works for some, keeps it the same for others

Thanks! Works been really slow, so I've been toting the lap top with me to fill the time. Hours of internetting lead me to wonder how things were back where there's sunshine...
