Finally a status update :)

Progress is exciting!

Wow, still "Background check pending" since Jan 25th... I would seriously think a background check doesn't take over a week. Guess I'll ring them up tomorrow mornin'

Gave them a ring, "Due to high call volume, we're currently not accepting new calls".

I was in background check review from est Nov 1st to Feb 1st. But they requested docs from me that took me a little bit to get. As for you calling when that high call volume stuff happens try a lot it will normally let you threw just keep trying to call. I find it that your most likely right around the time they close but still end up waiting on hold for about 45 mins. Good Luck. Finally just got to mailed status yesterday myself.

Finally an update for me too. Was checking my status during the game last night and low and behold there it was. I had checked late Friday and hadn't seen anything so figured I would just try again on Monday like I have been but waiting for this has been like waiting for Christmas morning when you were a kid. It's exciting!!!!!!!!!!!

I mailed my packet on the same day, got my first update on the same day, and my status has not changed. I have no idea what makes one background check more complex or time consuming than another, but something is definitely slowing down my app. BTW - I've lived in Texas since I was two years old, I have no criminal record (other than a couple of old speeding tickets), and I don't owe any money to the state or federal government. So, I guess I'll keep waiting, but it is midly irritaing to see others get approved so quickly.

Sounds EXACTLY like me. Still waiting on BG check, no record of any kind, been in TX my whole life. Almost makes you wonder if it takes long er BECAUSE there's no record. Dunno/

Well, got the update today. Background check complete - manufacturing pending.

Background is STILL under review... even after I've seen people who have mailed after I did already have plastic in had/mailed.
