York Arms - NY deliveries
Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.
For "civilian" customers residing in New York:
At your choice, we will:
-- complete your order and ship to a dealer of your choice outside of NY
-- refund your payment in full
-- hold your items here for up to 6 months, at no charge - if you are in the process of leaving NY and -- taking residence in another state.
For LE/Govt customers in New York:
-- Your orders have been cancelled.

It does seem to be catching on.
How does this option help? They still can't legally bring it back to their home. They may not even legally be able to take possession of it.

It helps, 'cause if ALL of the gun and ammo manufacturers refuse to cell to the government, the government will have to abide by the rules that everyone else follows, and GET IN LINE BEHIND EVERYONE ELSE. As it should be. It's time for them to stop making laws and rules that don't apply to them. THIS is the way to get than done, as they will NEVER do it by themselves; would you? It only helps the buyer today if he/she is moving out of state, or has a residence/id in another state.

So that makes adds LaRue, Extreme Firepower and Olympic Arms to the mix. Hopefully more will follow suit and hit Kalifornia and Kolorado if they follow suite.
I have a bad feeling thought that some "capitalist" will se an open market to exploit for LEO and Govt agency sales in those locations!

Hmm, then maybe the states need to pass some legislation to raise some SIGNIFICANT tax revenue from certain types of companies in their state doing business with federal government agencies...

Posted the link to FB.
I don't know about Glock - but I do know that we won't see S&W or Springfield coming out with similar statements.

Nice. I wholeheartedly agree with their sentiments and efforts.
Unfortunately, all of these companies are small in the overall scheme of things. It will take a couple of big companies to jump on board for this to really get going (ammo or firearm) and I don't see that happening simply because of the almighty dollar loss.

We can ask!

Suggested Subject: If it’s illegal for us, don’t sell it to police!
Dear Law Enforcement Sales Manager,
Recently New York rushed an ill-advised and unconstitutional law infringing on the rights of law-abiding gun owners. Other states are poised to write similar laws. I urge you to follow the lead of LaRue Tactical which has adopted this policy: If it can’t be sold to law-abiding citizens, it won’t be sold to state and local police agencies either.
There are 800,000 sworn police officers in the entire United States. The FBI reports a total of 2,495,440 NICS checks, and thus firearms sales, in January alone. Police sales are not your major business. It’s time for firearm manufacturers to send a clear message that you will not participate in the slow erosion of our Second Amendment rights.
Check here for the list of non-NY companies.
