New to the board, but, I have been lurking since January and learning.

DPS received my packet on 4/4 by USPS, now I do the waiting game.

Worked for both my wife and me.
Submitted my renewal app with emailed docs on 3/25. Was updated to Manufacturing Pending today (4/25).

Here's my timeline, so far...

2/23/13 CHL Class
2/25/13 Online Application completed
3/8/13 1st Fingerprint Appointment - system down
4/1/13 2nd Fingerprint Appointment - Success
4/1/13 Mailed Packet by Certified Mail
4/4/13 DPS picked up packet from Post Office

Updated to Mailed 4/26.

03/23 - Completed online application and paid the fee
04/03 - Packet of documents sent to TXDPS via USPS along with all required information

As of today 04/29, the TXDPS website still says "Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on receipt of required materials."

I unfortunately did not track the package of documents I sent in. So I have no way to confirm whether or not TXDPS received the package, and they have not responded to my email inquiries.

This is making me nervous ...

Don't sweat it. I'm sure they have it. I mailed mine in early February without tracking. I was starting to panic after it still said "Waiting on receipt of required material" for 2 MONTHS after mailing the packet, as did my girlfriend's application. I'm sure they have it. It's just sitting in a pile with the rest of the apps. Some people's update sooner than other's. It's the luck of the draw. If it has not updated after 2 months, then I might start calling.

Like I said, mine took almost 8 weeks to update, as did my girlfriend's. You have only been about 3 weeks. I would not expect it to update till 6 weeks at least.

4/20/13 - CHL class taken w/Jack Burch
4/20/13 - Fast Fingerprinting done during class
4/24/13 - Required documents scanned and submitted online

4/30/13 : CHL Class
4/30/13 : Online Application Completed
5/1/13 : Required Documents scanned & submitted online through DPS RSD Contact Center (Sorry, Yes I know its May)
5/3/13 : FAST Fingerprints Scheduled

Hopefully that's all I will have to do! Might mail in the hard copies for a better chance of getting received quicker...

Well Austin received my packet on 4/3/13 and still says waiting on required materials. It seems like we have to wait forever. I know they are very busy and doing the best they can, but it is like watching paint dry. I hope it updates any day now. Oh, by the way, this is my first post. Hello everyone.

Feeling better after reading just a few posts:

Feb 19 - Completed online app.
Mar 01 - Fingerprints done.
Mar 29 - CHL class completed.
Mar 30 - All required docs mailed.
Apr 02 - Required docs delivered per USPS.
Today - Still showing pending receipt of required docs.

And the wait continues...
