First Time Holster Buyer.

After spending 4 hours looking at all the sites on the great holster list put together By longtooth I have set my sights on a few. I was wondering if any of yall have any experience with them. The plan is to use them for IDPA and carry when I do get my CHL. Beretta 92FS is what I'll be putting in it.
1st is the G-Code Kydex holster. Its versatility is what catches my eye.

2nd is one from Blade tech. Their tek-lok design is interesting.

3rd is one from Blade tech also. IWB might be better for concealment.

Last would be one of the Uncle Mikes.

Also I didn’t really see (or recall seeing) any truly concealed mag holders. Do they make any that would go IWB or is OWB all there is.

Very nice choices. I don't have any of them because I'm just now starting to figure out the holster sitch myself. For IDPA I'd go with an OWB holster for the speed and re-holstering vs. IWB.
I know of one, but it's leather...made by
Fist, Inc. (BTW, I really like my "small of the back" holster from Fist...very well made).

With all respect, I'd like to suggest that you give serious thought to your idea of carrying a Beretta M92/M9 in an IWB holster. Particularly if you're new to carrying. That's a lot of gun to stuff in your pants and, in my experience, it's easier to get started with an OWB holster and learn the ins and outs of that before you transition to IWB.
Galco makes a tuckable Deep Cover mag carrier that goes completely out of sight and some that are just IWB.

I can only comment on the G-Code and Uncle Mike's holsters and this is only my opinion and worth everything you payed for it....nothing.
I own two G-Code belt holsters for my Springfield XD's and they are very good holsters if you shoot IDPA/USPSA, but are in no way concealment holsters unless you plan on wearing a coat or vest all year. Same goes for the Uncle Mike's.
IMHO, you are probably going to have to go with an IWB holster to conceal your Beretta under what I would consider normal summer attire. I know I can't conceal my XD in a G-Code or Uncle Mike's and it's not a small gun either.

I have the G-Code Kydex for a Glock26, and it makes a great OWB holster with the paddle attachment - secure, good retention, comfortable.
As for IWB (with the nylon attachment they offer), it works, and is better than nothing (which sums up my other holster selection for the G26), but not by a lot... The velcro enclosures do not secure the holster to the belt near as well as the "clips" do on other holsters such as the Comp-Tac CTAC (which I have for another gun), Tucker holsters (I have Tuckers "heritage" for yet another gun), or the crossbreed (which I have on order for the G26).
I'd also agree with the other posters that a 92FS is rather large for IWB (I made that mistake with a Beretta 9000S, which I'm pretty sure is smaller than a 92FS) - I'd stick with OWB for now, but realize you'll have to dress around the gun.

There are several "concealable" mag holsters on the market - try

Thanks for all the input. Guess I'll think on it abit more. I wear some of the long flannel shirts and other suck that could cover an OWB so that might be the direction I go. But it will be the first one anyway. I mean isn't like an unwritten law that you have you have to have more holsters than guns right.
And as for the concealed mag holders I guess by the time I started looking for them I was tired anyway. Thanks for yall's help on those too.

I sure hope so....or else there are many here that might be going away for a while.....myself included
My Wife actually has a holster "look" in her abundant arsenal of glances when the UPS man pulls up
Bless her......she is a patient woman.

This is exactly like one I've been making for years. It really is comfortable which is amazing for an IWB mag. carrier.

i have a gcode for my SA Loaded - only problem is the side of the adjustable rear sight has cut a groove in the side of the holster. Got it from gunners alley - great service.
You should also look a comp-tac. I got one for my xd-9.

Ok I have thought about it and changed my mind. I have settled on my first ones for right now. (But that could change between now and the time I click the "Add to cart" button.)
I decided to go with OWB for an easier draw. Anyone used these before?

Here's the Mag pouch.

They both say they can be used in IDPA so that was another selling point for me since I'm looking at getting into that area of sport shooting.

HighVelocity uses a lot of blade tec so he will be the authority on these.

I use this holster for IDPA with a paddle attachment. I have tried many and stick to this one. I told HighVelocity last night that if someone offered me $300.00 for my Blade-Tech.....I would politely tell them "NO"! The thing is like family

Great quality stuff IMO.
