I wonder if the lady that found it later said "I never imagined something like this could happen in this neighborhood"?

Reports of giant African snails in Houston Unverified.

"Word that the giant African snail - a voracious mollusk that poses a potential health threat to humans - had come to Houston surfaced this week. But positive identification has yet to be made, said Autumn Smith-Herron, director of the Institute for the Study of Invasive Species at Sam Houston State University, on Wednesday."

Stomp it, don't shoot it.

If you shoot it, use salt loaded shells

In California, we used to use jar lids filled with beer. Snails seem to love beer but it kills them deader than a doornail.

Since you can only put a small amount in a jar lid you get to drink the rest of the beer.

"That snail got away an no one knows where it went"...

Sounds like it's time for HPD to call for sheltering in place and doing a door-to-door man... er snail hunt. It's for the good of the people, right?

When I was a kid in California there were snails all over the sidewalk in the mornings and we used to salt them. And you remind me.....
Once there was a snail who was tired of being slow. He went out and bought a really fast sports car and had the dealer paint a big 'S' on each side of it.

Whenever someone saw him zooming past in his new car, they would say, "Hey, look at that little S-car go!"

One of these "A Salt Guns" they're trying to ban would work:
http://bugasalt.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nobody needs a high capacity 50 round A Salt gun for hunting bugs. 10 rounds should be plenty. :???:

Time to call Interpol..... :tiphat:

A few French Gendarmes, with standard issue butter and garlic, will have the issue cleaned up in no time
