Point is that it's drier than a popcorn fart in most of Texas. But up here in Kentucky, in the last two months I'm pretty sure I've ever seen more rain than I've ever experienced in my lifetime. I'm starting to think I know why there are so many religious people here in this region. I'm convinced KY has got to be where Noah built his big ole floating zoo based on rainfall..... Just an observation.

Weather... I know growing up around cattle and farming, weather is always something to start a conversation off with. Well... From what I'm learning after being in Kentucky for almost 2 months is that people here don't have a clue what a real drought is. A local Kentucky farmer I was talking with the other day told me how a couple of years back things started to turn "brown" because they didn't get a whole lot of rain in KY that particular year. I kinda laughed and explained to him what a real drought is when it happens in West Texas. Right now my farm (close to Colorado City) is starting to look like Death Valley... And that's with a circular system running.

My brother, who has lived in the hill country all his life except Navy duty and a short stint at a CPA firm in New Mexico decades ago, claims the weather pattern in the hill country is debilitating drought interspersed with devastating flood.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.
