GRB Gun Show - May 18

I went to the gun show at the George R Brown with my daughter, BIL and nephew yesterday. My nephew wants to join his HS clays team and is looking for a deal on an O/U shotgun. I haven't been to a gun show in half a year...
- first off, looks like they were plenty of ARs, sub $1,000 and over. My impression is that prices were fair... gravitating towards MSRP on the entry-level models (Colts, DPMS, Bushmasters, Del-tons, etc.)
- saw less AKs, but seem to be priced relatively fairly as well
- some stuff is still overpriced... like pMags going from $15-30, but the worse is the ammo. 5.56 goes for about $0.75 per round and 22LR is unbelievably expensive. Saw a box of WWB (550 rnds) going for $109.95 (back in December I used to buy this at Academy for $18-20).
- surprisingly, not many O/U shotguns to look at... so that was disappointing for my nephew and BIL; most shotguns were the tactical/HD types.
- overall, seems like the price of firearms is coming down... ammo is a different story
I made it out of there spending less than $100 (a bag for my AR, 5.11 gloves and a t-shirt from the GunShowTees guy).
