Well, the Democrats in the City Council have sponsored a new bill that not only handcuffs the police, but will “blindfold” them “and send crime rates soaring,” as well, according to the New York Police Department captain’s union.

This insanely, politically correct bill “will ban cops from identifying a suspect’s age, gender, color or disability,” Union President Roy Richter told the New York Post. “When we have wanted suspects and patterns of crimes, those are very important descriptive terms to let officers know who to look for,” he added.

Ah, there is the solution. All of the criminals can follow the example sent by the entertainer formerly known as Prince and convert their name to a symbol. Then the police can just send pictures of the symbol that they are looking for and everyone will be happy.

I sometimes have wondered if the problem with the Left Coast wasn't something in the water out there. Now, I'm pretty sure that there is a similar contamination in NYC. Whatever substance is involved apparently has the characteristic of encouraging a competition to see who can be the biggest buffoon. Surprisingly, Mayor Bloomberg is currently loosing. I have confidence in him, however. I'm sure that he can come back, even after this.

We certainly have stretched the boundary for the definition of "outrageous".

Actually, although it's not intuitive, as a former "Transmission Technical Support Engineer" for New York Telephone Company, I know places where that could be done.
