Dem Senator : RTKBA Not God a Given Right

During a May appearance on Rachel Maddow Lean Forward Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said gun rights are not "God-given" and any claim that the Founding Fathers wanted U.S. citizens armed so they could repel a tyranny "is insane."
Guess Mr. Murphy has never read the Constitution.

The good senator is just another example of someone elected to office without a clue. Perhaps he is serving as a stand-in for Uncle Joe while he is preoccupied with the executive branch....

I don't know about God's role in this but I am pretty sure that he didn't elect himself.

By saying rights are not God-given he must believe the rights were given to the people by the government . . . and thus can be taken back by the government.
Methinks the august Senator has it exactly backwards:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,

Simple answer, to this ignorant senator, do you have the right to exist, if he said yes, then ask, what do you do to someone who wants to eliminate your right of existence?
