Dressing up for Halloween?

So the “Are you handing out candy this year?” thread got me curious.

Is anyone dressing up for Halloween this year?

Going to a costume party, working in a haunted house, or just to hand out treats, is anyone donning costume and makeup to revel in the festivities?

Personally my wife and I are invited to a costume party and we will be going as Dr. and Mrs. Frank N. Stine. She will by my wife and creation and I will be the mad scientist. Since I got the costume I figured I’d participate in my company costume contest and I have recruited coworkers as an assistant (Algore) and a monster(Creature).

All in good fun.

P.S. This thread is worthless without pics, I put up mine when I get some.

I thought about dressing up as Uncle Si Robertson to take my youngest around the neighborhood. Already have all the camo and the tupperware tea cup, just need the beard. (Mine is gray, but no where near as long!)

Last year I dressed up. My husband and little boy were supposed to be dressed alike as army soldiers......husband had to go out of town. So the mommy filled in....quite literally. This year my little girl has it in her head that I am supposed to be a princess like her......I have an old cloak around here somewhere that I made in college.....may put that on for her.

I'm putting my NRA cap on and going as a 'home-grown american terrorist'...I don't even have to carry my gun to pull it off (but I will)

I thought it would be cool me and my girlfriend were Latrine and the Sheriff from "Robin Hood Men in Tights" but I doubt we'll do it. It sure would be a great couples costume though!

Yesterday my company had our Halloween party (early due to inventory next week). Myself and two coworkers dressed up, me as Dr Frank N. Stine, MD, PhD, specializing in the DE AD, and my buddies as Algor (brother of Egor and Igor), and the Creature.

We won 1st place. :thumbs2:

All I have are cell phone photos, but here they are.

I usually put on a Ren Fest costume. We have them anyway, so why not wear them? The kids have not yet made specific costume requests, so until they do (and I'm not particularly encouraging it) their Ren Fest costumes do double duty too. Heaven knows it's enough work to make them and they outgrow them so fast!

The one special request this year was that the 5yo wanted to buy a pumpkin so we can "put a light in it." He asked very nicely, so pumpkin-carving is on tomorrow's agenda.

I'm dressing up as a serial killer. They look just like everyone else.

I will dress up on Halloween. Most people in my office wear some kind of costume, although there are varying degrees of effort. I'm still trying to decide between Heisenberg and Zorro.
