Car Insurance - Tarrant County - Recommendations?

I asked the question 3 years ago and a forum member recommended an independent agent who set me up with car insurance at a great rate, with good service. Now that agent has moved into another field, the policy just went up 60%, and service record has not been good. So I'm looking again.
We have 4 cars for 2 drivers, perfect driving records, no claims ever. We are willing to self-insure to any extent possible.
I'd prefer a good independent agent who can shop a range of companies to find me the best rate, and keep me having to shop it every year or so. I'm in Keller, so a Tarrant office would be good, but not essential.

Any suggestions welcome and appreciated

Rex

If you are USAA eligible, look no further. In addition to great rates and trustworthy service on insurance, USAA offers banking, credit cards, investment opportunities, very low cost and completely trustworthy. I have been a member since I reported for active duty in 1968, and undoubtedly saved more on car and house insurance than I MADE the entire time I was in the Navy. Moreover, since it is a mutual, my subscriber savings account into which they allocate the profits over reserves, has become a significant asset over the last ~45 years.

I remember when my kids were teen drivers, the State Farm agent whose kid was in my kid's school couldn't believe what I paid for car insurance, 4 cars, 2 male teen drivers. :woohoo

You might want to look further. USAA used to be unbeatable but my current premiums are comparable to what I could get from Flo or the lizard. I saved almost 20% moving one vehicle to the lizard two years ago after shopping around.

Sometimes the cheapest oats have already been run through the horse, if you get my drift. Part of the deal is sensible rates, part of it is fair and trustworthy claims handling which in my 45 years has always been top notch. USAA has the lowest rates on credit cards, no cost banking and more besides.

Alas, I believe they have 30.06 notices on their campus.

Well, if Dad had bought some USAA insurance anytime during his 20+ years in the AF, I'd be illegible.
Did not happen.

I would say the same thing about Ag Workers Mutual Auto Insurance Co. -- If you work in the agricultural sector (broadly speaking... I'm a pencil pushing professor), it's the cheapest auto insurance I've ever owned (including USAA).

It would have to be VERY broad to include me.
However, I do attempt to grow tomatoes most years.

Don't kick old Dad unnecessarily. He might not have been eligible either, as years ago membership was for commissioned officers only. I don't know when it was opened to non-coms, sometime between 1968 and a few years ago.

That may explain it then. Dad was a sargeant, retired in 1964
