Glad to hear the officers survived. Stats show Xmas eve and day are two of the deadliest days for leos. Im sure this punk in a stolen car with a stolen gun was about to turn his life around.

Well, maybe more than one. Stolen car, stolen gun, and shooting at police. What's the old saying, three strikes and you're out.

No, you are being way to critical and judgemental. It's society's fault he made a bad choice. The cop shouldn't have tried to intervene.

No personal responsibility nowadays. It's crazy scary.

I bet he is a fine Christian young man who simply had a momentary laps in judgement. Just ask his mom.

Good god!! I just read the article again and zeroed in on the nonsense about them offering grief counseling to students. Our society is in deep crappola! :mad5

What they should do is put this punks picture on a poster that has the words STUPID written across his face.

:iagree:
The dead kid should be held up as an example of what happens to stupid and criminal people. Anybody grieving over that does need to get a grip on reality. Enough with the excuses for inexcusable behavior.

I wonder if the parents knew where their 16 year old was at 4:30am. I don't mean to preach, but come on, how do these kids escape the how like that? I'm sure it wasn't his first time out.

I get what your driving at but teens have been sneaking out of the house for as long as there have been teens. Heck, we use to sneak out when I was a kid. We just never chose to commit felonies and have shoot outs with cops. Many of these kids now days don't have to sneak out. Mom is smoking crack and dad is in prison. I hear about kids who have moms that allow the boyfriend to sleep over in their daughters rooms. By 16, these kids have a level of permissiveness that borders on the absurd. Unfortunately, it only gets worse as time rolls on. Too many parents want to be "cool". Then junior ends up dead and nobody can figure out what went wrong. :bigmouth
