Actually, I'm sorry for Juan's wife. I don't wish crime on anyone. But if he was any kind of a stand up guy, he would make the same big media blast about his wife's comments that he did about disarming the rest of us because of Fort Hood. I never fail to be amazed at how every bad incident with a gun is used as a folcrum to leverage gun control but the situations where a gun would have helped are swept under the carpet. In that, Ms. William's situation is just like Sandy Hook.

I don't like Juan Williams or Alan Combs. They both sit there and spout progressive ideology that is so obviously wrong and illogical I become embarrassed for them. They can face and admit the truth even when it is there in black and white.

I don't wish crime on anyone. However, I do like to see a little poetic justice now and then. It's a shame it wasn't Juan that was robbed instead.

IMO, people like this get what they deserve. They don't want firearms, they don't want the ability to defend themselves.

Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.

Thanks. The idea isn't my own, it's been inspired from other, much smarter people than I. The wording itself however is my own.

When I was in New York, the phenomenal conversion rate of liberals to conservatives once they themselves became victims of crime was quite something to watch.

It even spawned a new definition of liberal:

A liberal is a conservative who hasn't been mugged yet.

That was back in simpler times.

Now the same types of folks go through the mugging and figure that was an aberration and they still don't need to protect themselves because it'll never happen again.

We need a face palm emoticon.......

This is true, but I think that there is a secondary factor at play as well. The Left has propagated this "honor in being a victim" mindset. It seems like half the people I meet have attached the "survivor" label to themselves for one ridiculous reason or another. The left is preaching that if you survive your attack, you are not a victim who was unprepared and let down his or her family. You are a hero and a survivor.

What do they say failing to survive your attack makes you (other than dead)?

Williams lost me for good during the last election when he made some very snarky and unkind remarks about Ann Romney. I was not a huge Romney fan, but I'm fairly sure we wouldn't be on our run away train towards the ninth circle of Hades had he been elected.
