Apparently a clerk or owner went to the bank to get cash and was followed from the bank back to the store where he was attacked.
The clerk inside seeing his friend being attacked uses his MMA training very effectively to stop the robbery and dole out some retribution.

I saw that on the news last night and some how knew it would make it's way here.

Guess that's why you take a "slow" guy with you on your robbery runs, you don't have to outrun the MMA guy, just the slowest criminal.

I always enjoy stories of bad target selection, this is no exception.

A better "treatment" would be like this scene. However, I do not believe it's realistic. After the first strike no one can be standing.
