Not much on detail, but this is really close to home here in Houston.

This is a very good part of town...expensive homes and very desirable. I have eaten in the restaurant many times and always felt safe.

More information, all victims were restaurant employees from the kitchen area. They are not sure if it was a robbery.
The Denny's at I 10 and Wilcrest was robbed that same night. It is nearby.
This part of town is called Memorial and is considered one of Houston's best suburban neighborhoods. Nearby are the headquarters for many of Houston's biggest oil companies.

The way things are going now, one is only as safe as one makes oneself. Just because it's a "good" part of town or the homes in the area are "desirable" should not lessen the need to be in condition yellow at all times. The reason the criminals come to the "good" parts of town is simple, the "bad" parts of town don't have the goods.
Be ever vigilant, and check your six often.

No neighborhood anywhere is and never has been safe.
All have varying degrees of crime potential.
I live in the country where the crime rate is relatively low, but not non-existent...

Maybe these restaurants should have had their "no firearms allowed" signs to keep the bad guys away.

One man has died. Many of my friends consider this their favorite restaurant.
