I just ordered a Crossbreed Super Tuck and was wondering what the general consensus is on belt width 1.25" or 1.5"? Pistol is a XDS 4" 9mm

As wide of belt that will fit your belt loops and holster slots. I have 1.5 and 1.75 belts. The 1.5 will fit all my pants and the 1.75 will fit my work style pants. ( carpenter jeans ect.) the wider the quality style belts will support the weapon weight better without rolling and digging into you. My 1.75 belts are the tatictal style with the carabiner loops and they work very well but only fit certain pants.

I wear a 1.5" gunbelt every day. It is comfortable and I wouldn't have it any other way. The width is just fine for business casual (Dockers type), cargo shorts, jeans, etc.

Doesn't work very well with sweatpants.

Never owned or tried a 1.75" gunbelt. However, my 1.5" gunbelt has no problem if I am carrying my Para 14.45 with two extra mags (43 rounds of .45 ACP goodness!), which is the heaviest load out I'll carry.

Note I am using the word "gunbelt". If you are new to carrying, a quality gunbelt designed and sold as a gunbelt is way more important to everyday comfort than the holster. A quality gunbelt can carry a crummy holster comfortably, but a crummy belt still makes a quality holster uncomfortable. A gunbelt is not the same as a "heavy belt", or a "work belt", and an "Amish belt" or anything else that is close but no cigar.

I'm definitely getting a " gun belt" and think I will stick with my initial thought with a 1.5" from Crossbreed.

Most holsters seem to be made for a 1.5" belt and will move around on a 1.25".

I do have a 1.25" belt for those rare occasions that I have to wear a suit. The 1.5" is just too wide for my suits' belt loops.

I wear a 1.25" for dress. The clips do move around a little. Most holster clips are made for a 1.5" Belt.

I have a 1.75, a 1.5, and a 1.5 tapered to 1.25. I wear the tapered one more than the others because it is more comfortable. The tapered also looks good in dress clothes.

Most holsters I have looked at and the ones I have are for a 1.5 inch belt

I wear a Wilderness 1.75. I recently ordered their 1.5 and after only a few days replaced it with their 1.75. The 1.5 is just too small and flimsy to suit me.

I like the 1.5" belts. I have two Crossbreed Supertuck holsters & 3 Crossbreed belts, plus a bunch of other Crossbreed stuff. I really like their gear. I do have some concerns about their Instructor belt. There have been a couple of times it has popped loose.

I prefer 1.5" belts. I find that if you get a quality belt it doesn't matter if its 1.5" or 1.75" as far as rigidity goes. I am currently using belts from Ares Gear. Most holster makers, myself included, put 1.5" hardware standard on holsters, but all of my products can be ordered with bigger belt loops.
