Well done, Tim. Trigger therapy is always good. Shared with others, it is better. Spreading the word and experience with new shooters is better yet.

Sounds like a really great " pre range " safety and orientation class. More people need to make the effort and take the time. Thank you.

Good job. Maybe his experience will change his fathers opinion. Even if that doesnt happen, good job on showing him how to responsibly handle and shoot a firearm. We might even get a new forum member pretty soon because of that.

I love those experiences.
Agree that the living room/coffee table setting is ideal for teaching all the initial safety & handling basics *before* heading to the range.

Glad to hear you went over basics instead of just handing him a loaded gun and pointing in the general direction of the backstop. I see far too many people do that at the range...

More than anything it sounds like a great bonding experience and your ability to instruct him on what you have learned over the years is extremely valuable. Adding in the firearms is a plus for both of you. Great job and hopefully he will come back soon for more, the cost of a few boxes of ammo are minimal compared to the positive experience....... priceless!!!!

I'd love to take my 13 year old granddaughter shooting sometime, but I'm afraid my daughter probably would never allow me to see her again. No joke!

Do you post pics of little girls shooting like that just to make us old guys feel bad?
