Not sure this is the right place for posting this but here it is:
Listening to my scanner tonight and heard units dispatched to a burglary in progress. Female home alone tells dispatch two unknown males are attempting to make entry to her home.
Dispatch advises responding officers: "reporting party advises she is retrieving her gun"
Responding unit: "advise her to get her gun and barracaid herself. "
Units arrive on scene and don't see anyone. They advise dispach to have RP put away the gun officers will be coming to her door. Suspects were not located and no one was hurt.
I think it speaks volumes of my local PD to advise the victims to arm them self dispite units responding. And they were on scene in less then 2 min!

Absolutely! Kudos to your PD for advising victim to arm themselves. Well done! :tiphat:

I wish ALL police depts. in Texas would take that same mindset when a 911 call like that is placed.

Thanks for posting Frankie, and yes, this is the perfect place for posting stories like that. :thumbs2:
