CHL and jury duty

Anyone ever have any problem with having your firearm in your car in the "official" jury duty parking garage? I'm pretty sure it will cause a hubbub if I take it in with me but not sure about in the car even though it would be in the console so nobody would know it's there.
Forgot to mention this is in the main Harris County court system in downtown Houston.

I don't know. But I got called for jury duty (also downtown Houston) so I am curious as well.

Firearms are not allowed in court buildings -
http://www.hcfpm.net/security" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - but I believe the parking lot law passed in the previous session allows you to keep the weapon in your car. (46.035 (f)(3))
"(3) "Premises" means a building or a portion of a building. The term does not include any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway, Previous Hitparking lotNext Hit, parking garage, or other parking area.
Firearms are prohibited on the premises of courts under 46.03(3).

It's legal to leave it in your vehicle. You will not be able to carry it into the court area because of metal detectors as well as already stated it is a violation of Penal Code 46.03.

Yeah, I knew I couldn't take it in. I just wanted to be sure there wasn't something I didn't know about affecting leaving it in the car in their garage. I thought that was fine but wanted some confirmation just for good measure.

Yeah, I've got 3 knives to remember to leave at home and one in the car. I wish they had satellite courts to also go to that would be nearer home and less traffic. At least it's (hopefully) only one day.

Last time I had to report for jury duty was Midland several years ago. Had to take off my shoes and belt too.
I was pretty irritated at the time.
I just got the letter for here in Lubbock, we'l see if I get picked. I kind of want to, I have never done it before. My luck I'd end up with a 6 month trial or something.

If you don't want to serve just ask about jury nullification.
