CC in car?

I am thinking about buying a Walther pps in 9mm. I want to try it as an EDC firearm. My question is, do you carry your
EDC in a holster in your car, or is it more comfortable/practical to place it elsewhere?

It's your choice. But if the gun is not in the holster on your body, it must be concealed elsewhere. EG: in the glove box or center console. It must be concealed if it's not on your person.

I almost always carry on my body while driving. I have found a position that is comfortable and it makes it so I dont have to re-holster every time I exit. The only exception to this is my truck gun. It stays in my soft side open top briefcase during the day and is more of a BUG than and EDC

Currently, IWB strong side, concealed. On rare occasions, in door pocket. Works well in 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. YMMV.
On and after 1/1/16, IWB strong side, shirt tucked in.

It will be annoying to continually unholster and reholster, and doing that increases the chance of a negligent discharge. Just keep it holstered on your body.

I am similar to this. If I get carjacked or need to vacate the car quickly, I want a weapon on my body. I carry an EDC bag (bag varies depending on my plans for the day) with my BUG in it. It sits next to me while I drive. If I'm not carrying my EDC bag, the BUG is in in my console (in a pocket holster) and can easily go into my back pocket when I get out of the vehicle.

Until 1/1/2016, it must be concealed always, even on your person.

Back Up Gun.
I call it a secondary, numbero dos... most people have a second larger gun than their conceal carry pistol. I usually have one with an extra box of ammo and a couple loaded mags in case a problem arises. I don't always have my rifle or shotgun in the truck, so if I dump my two carry mags and get back to my truck and BOB, I'll be sitting a little prettier.
BUG - Back Up Gun
BOB - Bug Out Bag
EDC - Every Day Carry
CCP - Conceal Carry Pistol
a problem arises - Can't help you here.
