Dang I have a PT-145 Pro Millennium but the $150 to $200 for returning the pistol is somewhat a joke

Just got my Fedex label. Thanks for the info Andy. No notice on the website. Bought this used for the desk in the office. Cheap. Otherwise I don't buy Taurus. Wouldn't carry one.

Bummer, I kind of liked my PT140 as a truck/boat gun. This is the second time this has happened to me, first my XDS, and now my Taurus.

Andyc:
Thank you kindly for this link. I still have the 1st handgun
I ever bought - a PT111 for $279.99. For me, getting even $150
for a problem gun is fine.
That $150 or $200 will get me partway to a new pistol.
Decisions, decisions....XDS? XDM? LC9S? Rock Island 1911? Springer 1911?
Ruger 1911?
I could go on and on!

I've got an 809 that I carry sometimes. It's a good shooter, but I also had a 709 that took two trips back to Miami to get fixed then got offloaded and turned into magazines and ammo for my S&W M&P Shield 9mm. The 709 was cursed.

I just got off the blower with Taurus Customer Service...not happy.
The agreement has not been finalized. The rep has no idea when it will
be available or any details.
So I guess that carbon fiber gray and black full size M & P I yearned for
Is a lot further from my grasp!

Send them various links to news outlets with a "what the hell?" Subject line...

I used their chat line this morning and have RMA and prepaid FedEx label to return (3) Mil Pro's. Never know just how much CS rep knows, but I was told they would be replaced rather than repaired or just inspected. In any case have three off today.
I also have 3 - PT24/7's and will call Taurus rather than chat line, cause I have several questions regarding their possible replacement rather than repair as both are out of production and not clear replacement for the Long Slide or DOA models would ever be available and I'm not taking $100-$200 for them if they can't be replaced or repaired. Not to mention beau coup magazines that will fit not much else (can be used on their Mil G2). They want all three of these back, too.

WinoVeritas:
So if your MilPro's are to be replaced, can we assume that they will be replaced by G2 models?
If I can't get the $150/$200 cash, I would settle for a PT111 G2 in FDE (Flat Dark Earth).
I would prefer the cash in order to buy a different brand of pistol.
IIRC, the G2's don't have any problems with the manual safety.
Comments?

Got PT-140 bought it along time ago. Shoots well enough when the dang mags don't drop out while shooting. Have replaced the mechanism a couple of times they send the parts and it starts to drop again after a few hundred rounds. I will be returning and replacing with another double stack compact. .

Just for the heck of it I talked with them just now on chat line. They said the model I have is on the list but that is not a recall or anything like that. They said I could send it in to them for warranty inspection if I wanted too. Couldn't tell me anything else, other than if they found anything wrong they would repair the issue or contact me for other options if it is unrepairable. I will probably hold off and wait to hear back what happens with other people first.

Sent mine in 2 days ago and just got proof of delivery from Fedex today. See how long it takes Taurus to evaluate. I think they are being very coy about this when you contact them as I don't think Taurus routinely sends a prepaid Fedex express label unless there is an issue. I am sure you can always send your firearm to them for repair but I don't know if just routine repair and inspection gets them to send a prepaid shipping label although I could be wrong. In any event this is basically a keep in the desk weapon for me but I still want one that has a working safety and one that will not discharge if dropped. Will see what happens. Also sent with 2 magazines. Hope all comes back.
