IKEA seems to be under the impression that if they ban guns in their stores in the US, nothing bad will happen on their property....

Strangely enough, someone used a knife to kill people in an IKEA in their home country of all places.

Apples to oranges if you're drawing a comparison to US. Sweden has some pretty strict gun laws.

I took it that he is only pointing out the irony of how banning guns doesn't stop people from killing someone. Note the strict guns laws didn't stop them either.

:iagree:

The murderer couldn't get a gun, so he used a knife.

Being in an IKEA store does lead to murderous impulses.

Yeah, for many reasons. I came to the conclusion long ago, when I buy furniture, I want it to come already assembled.

Hope you are sitting down. Here's IKEA's response, ban knives.

As reported by Breitbart News last year, IKEA stores are gun-free zones, with even uniformed police officers asked to leave premises by security guards for carrying firearms.

Department of Justice figures show over 500 people a year in the United States are murdered with ‘blunt objects’. Whether IKEA will now seek to take rolling pins and cast-iron frying pans off the shelves on the strength of this data is presently unknown.

I assembled some IKEA shelves yesterday.
You dont need knives or guns to murder someone in IKEA, just hit them over the head with a piece of their cheap heavy pressboard furnature thats readily availible in their stores.
