I have the GLU

I have gunluenza. The Annoyed Man posted FS a Savage 350 for
viewtopic.php?f=114&t=79622&p=1012814&h ... S#p1012814 and I foolishly made the comment I didn't need another shotgun. I was in the Wally World in Mansfield and spied a New England Firearms 12 ga Pardner pump shotgun (actually it's an H&R, but they're going through an identity crisis). It was marked $89.00. I was there buying a couple of camp chairs and didn't even ask to see the gun.
Andy C had purchased the same gun marketed by Interarms in the tactical model. I read good reviews on these 870 clones, that 870 accessories and most parts would fit them. Some even say 870 barrels can be modified to fit as well. They are manufactured in China by the HAWKS subsidiary of Norinco. After I got back to my daughter's home I couldn't stop thinking about the shotgun that I didn't need and about how cheap that seemed.
I woke up this morning aching all over, feeling that I need to go take another look. Well it's in the back seat of my truck and I guess I'll start a new home defense project when I get back home. Or maybe I'll just leave it alone for a while and see how it shoots; Anyway I'm feeling so much better now.

Of course there always the chance I'll relapse, but some one already posted on that problem.

BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
Ok, I feel better now.

Fortunately for me, I was able to sell mine for the asking price to the brother of a friend of mine yesterday. The scary part is that I'm already wondering what I can spend it on......

Bless your hearts. My GLU is in remission. Inasmuch as I'm getting older and have no one to pass them on to, I suspect a safe cleansing is in order before too much longer.

Post some of the good ones here if you want. They may find a warm house and loving dads.

I guess I should confess before I head to church! I actually had a relapse before I returned to my daughter's home. I stopped by a pawn shop to do a little knuckle dragging; felt fine.... really I did. Then I saw a little Remington Nylon 66 .22 semi-auto rifle stuck among the air rifles in the gun rack. The horror. Just by looking at it I knew - dizziness, slight nausea, light headedness and I wasn't feeling too good myself. I had to cradle that poor thing and then nest thing I knew I had rescued that poor little rifle and we were both back in the pink again.
Old Gringo I felt slightly feverish reading your post!

I have the cure, buy a Harley then there will be no more funds to needlessly suffer from GLU.

It is contagious. I picked up an XD 45 Mod 2 and a Sig 228 yesterday at the Dallas gun show

I have considered that, but think I am done with motorcycles. I've had them and ridden them for almost 40 years and sold my last one about 3 years ago. Every time I think about getting another one I consider how many firearms or ammo I could purchase by not getting that bike.

I too have the disease. I have been able to get it into remission for up to 6 months. The disease is a tricky one, you don't realize that has hit until your looking at your new purchase at the range.
