I was reading on a Facebook forum. Where they were calling chl holders a lifestyle. In a way Kind of agree. Since getting my CHL I have attended Multiple training classes. Read more about laws and more aware of my surroundings. I wanted all of your thoughts on this is?

I agree a tiny bit as I now look for the 30.06 signs when I carry and am a bit more attuned to my attire such as wearing shirts that cover my pistol/revolver when I am carrying. Oh yeah, I also pay attention to which states allow and recognize Texas carry.

That sounds a tad trendy.
Lifestyle?
Nah.
I carry a gun for self defense.
That's not the definition of a lifestyle, but something I do for self defense.
Heck, if I have a fire extinguisher does that define me as having a "fire fighter" lifestyle?

I believe it CAN be a lifestyle, but it isn't for everybody. For some people, they have a CHL, never carry a gun, never train, really are disinterested in firearms for the most part. To others, it is a lifestyle which affects what they wear, where they work, where they shop, etc.

That's a good one. I don't think so, but I can see both sides of that one.
We definitely follow a different way of life than non CHL holders, that's for sure.

I suppose that it is a "lifestyle" if that is the word folks use these days. I carry everywhere, all the time. It affects the way I dress, the places I do business, and my entertainment choices. So in that regard, my lifestyle has changed somewhat because I carry.

Sustainable - That oh so hallowed word of the left.
I carry everywhere I'm legally able to and yet, other than that, my so-called lifestyle (whatever that is) isn't affected.
Of course, I'm something of a misanthrope, so the very word "lifestyle" sets my teeth on edge...
Lifestyle, snort, bah humbug!

I give much more thought to situational awareness and learning about how to keep me & my wife safe, which is not just about having a gun on me.
When I do go out, I don't drink as often compared to before because I'm probably carrying. And even if I'm not carrying (say, to a 51% location) I'm usually DD'ing just to keep my wits about me.

I carry. I have a fire extinguisher in my car and several in my house. Does that make me prepared, cautious, conservative, or Republican. Instead does it perhaps make me a victim of someone trying to label me for one of their lists, agendas, or articles?

i've made a few changes to my daily life since getting my plastic permission slip which i guess qualifies for lifestyle changes. for example, with rare exceptions, i've quit wearing flip flops outside of the house. Overall i'm still the same guy that i used to be.
kinda reminds me of the 'rock n roll lifestyle' song by cake. someone more creative than me will have to change the lyrics up - the best i can do is "how do you afford your tacticool lifestyle?"

I am substantially the same person today as I was before acquiring a CHL. I have added a few patterns of behavior to my normal panoply of naturally acquired tics and eccentricities — having to do with situational awareness and slight changes to manner of dress, but I can't say that I have changed how I live per se. I still dress more or less the same way. I still have the same religious convictions. I still have the same social values. I still listen to the same kind of music and enjoy the same kinds of art. I still like the same kinds of foods. The primary difference is that I carry a gun.

One of my favorite authors linked that on his Facebook too. I darn near reached through the phone to choke the clown that wrote that article.
