“I’ve got two guns in my hand. Is it OK to shoot him if he comes in this door?” Sarah asked.

“Well, you have to do whatever you can do to protect yourself,” dispatcher Diane Graham told her. “I can’t tell you that you can do that, but you do what you have to do to protect your baby.”

The man proceeded to kick down the door and come at Sarah with a knife. She shot and killed 24-year-old Justin Shane Martin with 12-gauge shotgun.

“You have to make a choice, you or him. I chose my son over him,” Sarah told KWTV. Because she acted in self-defense, she was not charged.

A good news story.

Good American and one less thug on the planet.

It is sad they don't all end this way.

I am thinking of the heinous crime a few months back where the intruder in D.C. raped and murdered a family while he had pizza delivered to their front door. He was certainly deserving of both barrels.

This young lady lived out in the Country, I believe it took L.E. 30 Minutes or so to get there. She is an absolutely brave women. Reading some of the comments on the page you provided, shows the absolute ignorance of people concerning self-protection. She should have warned him first, she should have just run out the back, he wouldn't have followed; I personally believe she could have been one of the main targets? She should have shot him in a non-life threatening extremity. I also read how this low-live was a good kid, if by good kid entering a home by kicking in the door with a knife in hand. Bah the pox on all of them. These commentators show me my enemy, nothing I can say or do will ever change people like this mind's. But, with that said, the majority of those who commented, were very favorable.

I believe this happened several years ago, or is virtually identical to the incident back then, new mom, newly widowed, bozo breaking the door down and shot dead.

Most of those comments are coming from someone who claimed to know the kid.
