Police: Concealed carry license holder kills armed gunman
In Chicago, of all places. How do we explain this????

its either a bald faced lie, or an anomaly of statistical nature

My favorite quote in the comments section: "I though that only criminals were allowed to conceal carry in Chicago".

Nothing bad to report here, so they naturally mention an unrelated event that the CHL'r was charged for firing at shop lifters as they fled.

I like the part, "The armed customer then fatally shot the man multiple times..." I wouldn't have thought you'd be able to fatally shoot someone more than once.

This is the kind of gun violence Barack, Rahm, and Bloomberg and his minions want to stop.

Yup. If they had their way, the headline would have been a little different.

"Shop owner and customer found executed in back room."

You beat me too it. "rlol"

The biggest surprise is that they so far haven't charged the shooter and might even "look at it as self-defense." Surely it's illegal in Chicago to shoot an armed robber or any other person committing a crime if you're just a citizen.

We know most of the media aren't smart enough to think of it this way, but maybe each of the shots that hit the man each would have been fatal shots on their own.

So you're thinking of a nice tight grouping in center mass? :biggrinjester:

No charges for Chicago shooter with concealed carry license

I've read elsewhere that the would-be robber was using either a toy or airsoft pistol, and one of his idiot relatives of course wants the good guy charged with murder.

Oh no. The media definitely got it wrong, but it is possible. Could have hit the heart and the groin or upper thigh area severing the femoral artery and the head or a lung.

During an IDPA match one time we were supposed to shoot from cover off hand. Put two in the body they said. Well, after the first round went a little low for -1 I had an FTE. I probably limp wristed it with my left hand and all. So, I reached up and pulled the empty case out and without chambering a round aimed and pulled the trigger. NOTHING, of course. By this time I had lost so much time I just chambered a round, pointed the gun, fired, and moved on to the next target from behind cover. When we went to score it all we got to that target and a couple guys were just standing there shaking their heads. When I approached, they asked me why I went for the head shot instead of center mass. Huh? I didn't. So, stranger things have happened. It was sheer dumb luck.
